be mindful when you ask god for change;

because that moment when you start to move, do not be surprised when everything beneath your feet starts to crumble.

there was a time in my life when i asked god for change,

and the more i asked for change, the more he took away from me.

why? why is it happening to me? why are you doing this to me?

but then i realized that my hands were full of things that no longer served me.

​

so how could i catch my blessings?

that when you ask god for love, do not be surprised when it tests your love. 

​

that when you ask god for discipline, do not be surprised when things are in front of you that are going to test your discipline.

​

you will be put in places where you have to prove yourself in order to receive these blessings because you would do nothing but ruin them if you are not prepared.

so if you are asking god for more, do not be surprised when you start to lose things. 

 

but, be assured, you are not being punished for this, you are being prepared for all the blessings that are ahead.
